This template uses Lua:

Module:IPAddress (sandbox)

This template should always be substituted – use {{subst:IP-talk}}.

Usage

Returns one of three strings dependent on where placed.

If placed on an IP talk page (any talk page in an IP userspace).
If placed on a talk page of a registered user (any talk page in their userspace).
If placed on a page that is not a user talk page.

Examples

I have been placed on {{subst:IP-talk|an IP user's|a registered user's|a page that is not a user}} talk page.

{{subst:IP-talk|Create an account! It's easy!|Now you've registered you can...}}

{{subst:IP-talk||Message for registered user|Statement on article page}}

Limitation

The template invokes Module:IPAddress to discern if the page it's on is that of an IP.

Stub other	Detects whether it is on a page with a stub template or not.
Redirect other	Detects whether it is on a redirect or not.
If preview	Detects whether page is viewed as a preview or not.
If IP	Displays different content to IP users and logged-in users.
If autoconfirmed	Displays different content to autoconfirmed and non-autoconfirmed users.
If extended confirmed	Displays different content to extended confirmed and non-extended confirmed users.
If administrator	Displays content only to admins.
If mobile	Displays different content to mobile users and desktop users.
If dark	Displays different content to dark mode users and light mode users.
Noscript	Detects whether page is viewed with a JavaScript-capable client or not.
