Oppose. Against NPOV rule. Did not lead to de jure independence, was not recognized as independent by majority of states (except 5 states) so would contradict consensus in the world. Bangladesh is a fully recognized state, including by Pakistan, from which is seceded, its status is not disputed. Nivzaq (talk) 06:20, 22 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well yes, it's not, but I'm thinking of a more uniform way of naming these pages. If we're using the WP:COMMONNAME policy to name them, then yes, the current name is fine (it has 40,000 more search results than "Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia". But I think it should match the other pages, like Bangladesh's. Vasily1926 (talk) 19:45, 24 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
In english, at least? In Abkhazia, and to abkhazians, it is widely regarded as the patriotic war of the people of abkhazia Vasily1926 (talk) 20:49, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
In absolutely every source, this war is simply known as the "War in Abkhazia", and only 5 out of the 193 UN member states recognize Abkhazia independence. Therefore, the title should remain as it is. 5.152.106.148 (talk) 19:43, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
