The current page Leonardo Sistemi di Difesa, proposed as the English counterpart of the Italian, French, and German articles dedicated to WASS, does not in fact refer to WASS but rather to its predecessor, Moto Fides of Livorno. The title itself also seems incorrect, as it points to the specific division of Leonardo (still active today) into which WASS was incorporated in 2016 following its acquisition. It is therefore not a company, but rather a division of Leonardo. Furthermore, as of 2025, WASS is no longer part of this division, having once again become an independent company after its acquisition by Fincantieri.
At present, the article Leonardo Sistemi di Difesa could therefore be turned into one dedicated to the predecessor company (similar to what has been done for Whitehead Torpedo Works of Fiume). I have instead created this new article specifically dedicated to WASS, in line with the other language versions, particularly the recently revised and updated Italian one. That said, I remain open to feedback on what might be the best way to proceed.
Thank you very much in advance for any suggestion :) Angiolino92 (talk) 08:35, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
