Conflict of interest

[edit]

At least one major contributor to this article appears to have a close personal or professional connection to the topic, and thus to have a conflict of interest. Conflict-of-interest editors are strongly discouraged from editing the article directly, but are always welcome to propose changes on the talk page (i.e., here). You can attract the attention of other editors by putting request edit (exactly so, with the curly parentheses) at the beginning of your request, or by clicking the link on the lowest yellow notice above. Requests that are not supported by independent reliable sources are unlikely to be accepted.

Please also note that our Terms of Use state that "you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation." An editor who contributes as part of his or her paid employment is required to disclose that fact. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:05, 22 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Outdated valuation

[edit]

The company stock value has plummeted from c. USD 80 in April 2021 to USD 12 now (July 2024). Shouldn't the "valuation" table reflect that the total value (market cap) is probably closer to USD 7-8B? Aresando (talk) 12:55, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit requests

[edit]

I have a connection with UiPath and I was told not to edit the article myself. It's been a while since the article was updated. The company's business is different now due to several acquisitions and AI integration, and the logo has changed. There are also a couple of other minor tweaks to improve readability. I'll propose some updates to get it up to date. I'll put the requests to change the lead and infobox last, since they depend on previous changes.

Thanks in advance to any and all volunteers reviewing this request.

1) In the middle of the long sixth paragraph of the history section, that starts In October 2019, please replace the below text with the newer text. This simply clarifies what Explorer does, and is in the current source.

Also in October, the company announced UiPath Explorer, a new product using technology from the acquired companies;
+
Also in October, the company announced several updates to its technology platform, including UiPath Explorer, an automation identification and planning tool developed using technology from the acquired companies;

2) Please insert this update chronologically after the July 2022 history paragraph. This is noting that the company integrated AI into its product line, and collaborated with Microsoft.

In July 2024, the company released its UiPath Autopilot program, which integrated generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) and NLP into its Business Automation Platform.[1] It also announced a collaboration with Microsoft to integrate agentic AI into Microsoft's Teams collaboration software.[2]

3) The next five updates are chronological additions to the history section, to bring the section up to date. It's a mixture of product announcements, acquisitions and analyst/media recognition. The current March 2025 acquisition of Peak from the current history section is included in the new info, so nothing is removed.

In October 2024, the company launched a preview of its Agent Builder, an agentic automation tool for developers to combine RPA with generative AI-powered agents to help simplify enterprise automation efforts.[3]
In March 2025, the company announced its UiPath Test Cloud, a tool to improve software testing by integrating AI agents.[4] Also in March, UiPath acquired Peak, a Manchester-headquartered AI company specializing in agentic solutions for inventory and pricing optimization, for an undisclosed sum.[5]
In April 2025, the company launched UiPath Platform for Agentic Automation, with an orchestration layer called Maestro, allowing employees to work more effectively with agents and robots.[6]
In September 2025, the company announced a series of partnerships and collaborations with OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, Nvidia, and Snowflake.[7] Also in September, the company was recognized as a leader in the intelligent document processing (IDP) industry in business and technology research firm Gartner's magic quadrant.[8]
In October 2025, the UiPath Platform was named as one of TIME Magazine's Best Inventions of 2025.[9]

4) The next request is to update the product section. The changes reflect that the company has changed from producing traditional robotic process automation software to being a provider of Agentic AI software. The product history is maintained as part of the request. Product names are also updated to match the sourcing. It's not intuitive, but what used to be called Orchestrator is now called Maestro. I'll split the request into two separate textdiff templates to make it not so overwhelming to follow.

UiPath develops software to automate repetitive digital tasks normally performed by people. The technology combines AI computer vision for reading screens with APIs, and gives users access to pre-built automation components that can be combined to automate routine processes. Its earlier products simplified tasks performed using other business software such as CRM or ERP systems, in internal and back-office areas like accounting, human resources paperwork, and claims processing. Newer applications of the company's software include coordinating with artificial intelligence systems to simplify repetitive front office tasks including customer management.

UiPath develops agentic automation software that combines robots, AI agents and people to automate workflows and processes. Agentic automation integrates traditional robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence, and human decision-making capabilities to allow for larger, more complex automations.
UiPath's main product is the UiPath Automation Platform. The platform combines a family of low-code visual integrated development environment (IDE) products called Studio for process creation, with client-side agents called Robots that execute those processes. The processes are deployed, monitored and managed remotely with a central management tool called Orchestrator.

An important part of the platform is UiPath Maestro, an orchestration engine designed to automate, model and optimize complex business processes, and monitor the performance of agents and robots.

5) The third paragraph of the product section is revised to try to maintain the product history. This is info that is already in the product section.

Its earlier RPA products simplified tasks performed using other business software such as CRM or ERP systems, in internal and back-office areas like accounting, human resources paperwork, and claims processing.[11][12][15][16]

6) The last paragraph is modified to update the broader scope of AI training the company offers, with a better source.

UiPath also hosts the UiPath Academy, to provide job training and certification in the field of robotic process automation.

7) Now that the body is updated, the last items are a revised lead and an updated infobox. You'll notice I also removed the source, since I read that the lead doesn't need sources if it just summarizes the article.

UiPath Inc. is a global software company that makes robotic process automation (RPA) software. It was founded in Bucharest, Romania, by Daniel Dines and Marius Tîrcă. Its headquarters are in New York City. The company's software monitors user activity to automate repetitive front and back office tasks, including those performed using other business software such as customer relationship management or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. In December 2020, the company filed confidentially for an initial public offering, and became public on April 21, 2021.

8) The infobox products parameter can be updated.

| products = RPA tools
+
| products = Agentic AI software

9) Lastly, the company logo has changed. You can see the new one here. The box is gone, and the i is now dotted with a little diamond. Can someone replace the current logo in the article? Thanks! Cpotts-uipath (talk) 16:20, 8 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
