Toei Asakusa Line → Asakusa line – For Singapore MRT's lines, all of which have renamed from "xxx MRT line" to "xxx line" as the main article names. Does that case suitable for Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway series? Sinsyuan✍️TW→GA 03:38, 1 December 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 04:33, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose. The situation between different cities are different and should not necessarily translate to each other without further evidence. Without commenting on Tokyo Metro lines at the moment, the Toei system is frequently referred to by sources with the "Toei XXX Line" format. Some instances (quotes included, will comment for all Toei lines to avoid repeating myself too many times):
- Mentioned two or more lines: (beginning of the paragraph, compare with the Tokyo Metro lines)/Includes the Toei Asakusa Line (pink), Toei Mita Line (blue), and the Toei Shinjuku Line (chartreuse)
- Toei Asakusa Line: New trains for Tokyo’s Toei Asakusa Line/pulls into the Toei Asakusa Line's Daimon Station/at Daimon Station on the Toei Asakusa Line on Dec. 8, 2023/with the building of the Toei Asakusa Line (subway)/and the Toei Asakusa (1960) and Hibiya (1961) lines
- Toei Oedo Line: a plan to extend the Toei Oedo Line subway/A unique collaboration between Ed Sheeran and the Toei Oedo subway line/The publicly operated Toei Oedo Line is introducing/The Toei Oedo Line subway will temporarily reduce service
- Toei Shinjuku Line: (in the Map, notice how Marunouchi Line did not have the Tokyo Metro label before it)
- Toei Mita Line: had been used previously on the Toei Mita Line
- Given the prevalence of such a format in sources, the current article titles satisfy WP:COMMONNAME. S5A-0043🚎(Talk) 12:45, 2 December 2025 (UTC)
- And I just realised apparently Toei Shinjuku Line does not have an RM open (presumably given Seibu Shinjuku Line also exists). Therefore the titles between different Toei lines should also be WP:CONSISTENT with one another. S5A-0043🚎(Talk) 12:48, 2 December 2025 (UTC)
- ...why are there individual RMs for each article? XtraJovial (talk • contribs) 18:14, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
- I've not used the mutiple requested moves yet because I'm not familiar with requested-move system in English Wikipedia. Sinsyuan✍️TW→GA 13:18, 9 December 2025 (UTC)
