Grammar
[edit]The article reads "To whom does our particular church "need to listen to" [sic] and how are the laity, especially young people and women, listened to?" Why is [sic] used here? As a native English speaker this seems like a perfectly normal sentence. Edit was made 5th January by User:Opera_hat, happy to hear an explanation or I will revert in a few days. - It should either be "to whom does our particular church need to listen" (traditionally correct) or "who[m] does our particular church need to listen to" (more modern usage). One of the tos is redundant either way. Opera hat (talk) 02:27, 13 August 2024 (UTC)

Why was this synod important? What did they accomplish?
[edit]The lead says It has been described as the culmination of Pope Francis's papacy and the most important event in the Church since the Second Vatican Council.
, but the rest of the lead is a bit scarce about details of what they did at this synod and what they accomplished. I'd suggest adding a sentence or two about this. If it was truly "the most important event in the Church since the Second Vatican Council", it should be easy to give details about the far-reaching effects of this synod. –Novem Linguae (talk) 09:19, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
- The maint things seem to be that for the first time women could vote, that the process started with a questionaire sent to the lower levels and that the pope decided to incorporate the conclusions in the ordinary magisterium. I don't see any major decisions. The description as "the culmination of Pope Francis's papacy and the most important event in the Church since the Second Vatican Council" stems from before it finished, so that should be stated. I don't think there have been any far-reaching effects (yet?). Rolluik (talk) 11:29, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
