Street storming → Đi bão – 'Street storming' is one way to translate 'đi bão', but I much more commonly hear 'go storm', 'go for a storm', 'go make a storm', 'riding the storm' and all sorts of variants of that. It would be best for the article to treat đi bão as a proper noun for a global audience and refer to it as such within the article, since there is no agreed upon English term that can be attested, especially outside of Vietnam. It is kind of like 'nhậu' - the best way to refer to it in English is also 'nhậu' since there is no agreement on an English translation that can capture its nuance. - Oppose per WP:UE. 162 etc. (talk) 18:24, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
- Support per English source Is current title even English? Google books shows no support for the current title. However and English source does exist for Đi bão We shouldn't just make up English article names where no source seems to exist. In ictu oculi (talk) 20:49, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
- And another English source here https://danangleisure.com/di-bao-in-viet-nam-and-all-you-need-to-know-about-it
- And another here https://saigoneer.com/vietnam-sports/25563-here-s-what-a-night-of-post-football-%C4%91i-b%C3%A3o-looks-like-in-saigon-and-hanoi
- Clearly Đi bão is the correct English name. In ictu oculi (talk) 20:53, 18 November 2025 (UTC)
- It should be treated like the titles for these articles: Lên đồng, Bụi đời, Tam quan, Hòn non bộ, Đạo Mẫu, rather than some random ad hoc translation. QUYE7 (talk) 09:08, 19 November 2025 (UTC)

- Oppose per 162 etc. English Wikipedia should indeed use English and "street storming" is indeed used in English-language media such as here or even in Việt Nam News, the national English-language daily (see 4th paragraph). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 23:21, 19 November 2025 (UTC)
- English language media use 'đi bão' far more than 'street storming'.
- Just a cursory Google search shows:
- "street storming" + football = 3 results
- "đi bão" + football = 13 pages of results QUYE7 (talk) 08:00, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- In addition, the English language references provided for this page refer to 'đi bão' and 'going storming' and do not even reference 'street storming' at all. QUYE7 (talk) 08:17, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- Comment: At the very least a redirect from Đi bão is needed, and I have created it. Should this move occur it is easily overwritten. Andrewa (talk) 06:46, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
- I think the Redirect is a good move. Agnieszka653 (talk) 21:10, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
