Is There A Name for the Function ?
[edit]I was aware of the existence of this article in Wikipedia, but forgot its title, so I was unable to find it until I found the title from an earlier note. I suppose people look for "x raised to 1 over x" or "the xth root of x". --Roland (talk) 05:29, 11 September 2017 (UTC)
are you sure?
[edit]To find an extreme of a function, you look for zeros, not maxima, of its first derivative. Or at least that's how I have always done it. —Tamfang (talk) 01:11, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
