Paak or Mars?

[edit]

Should it redirect to Anderson .Paak or Bruno Mars? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fakecrabcake (talkcontribs) 06:54, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

“Intro” - Promotional Single?

[edit]

Wouldn’t “Intro” be classified as a promotional single since it was released ahead of the album? CAMERAwMUSTACHE (talk) 22:43, 17 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Intro is a promotional single and should be listed as one. Zvig47 (talk) 18:37, 3 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

sheesh

For crying out loud, man, at least read it before you remove the [clarification needed] tag.

The duo was formed in 2017 by Mars and .Paak "as a joke the two friends", while on tour.

Read the words. I think it is a misquote. I cannot check the source, because I do not subscribe to Rolling Stone. Should it say "as a joke between the two friends", perhaps? Or "as a joke the two friends came up with"? The clarification needed tag is not an attack on you, Mario. It is my way of flagging a problem you might be better qualified to fix than I am. Of course, you'd have to actually look at it and think about it first. Regulov (talk) 23:51, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Mars and .Paak’s superduo of the same name, which began life five years ago as a joke the two friends hatched on the road," - the quote by RS. You fix it now. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 23:59, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Boy, thanks. Do you understand now why it was flagged? Do you understand that "as a joke the two friends, while on tour" is not good English? Regulov (talk) 17:30, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox image dispute

[edit]

@Bowling is life reverted my edit of making this poster the main infobox image. The poster was uploaded by @MarioSoulTruthFan. In the non-free use rationale, they indicated it would be used in the main infobox. I agree with them that it is an appropriate image to be used in this article's infobox.

What is the argument for not using this poster? Jcgaylor (talk) 02:31, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure why. I uploaded a second image with much lower resolution. I can try and make it lower if that's the problem? Wasn't there a bot that used to do that? MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 09:51, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Uploaded a third image with much lower resolution. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 09:59, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure the resolution was the problem. I think @Bowling is life prefers the first one over the other? I hope he chimes in so that we can reach a consensus. If he does not, then I second your idea of using the poster as the main infobox image. Jcgaylor (talk) 11:17, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't know the image was uploaded with the intention of using it the infobox. I've never seen a musical artist page use a poster as the infobox photo. Shouldn't it be a regular photo with no text or a photo of them performing live. Aren't those preferred on Wikipedia over posters? Bowling is life (talk) 11:35, 9 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
