I will take on this review! I typically prefer to make copyedits myself and only place comments here when I have questions, though of course as always you should feel free to change or discuss any edits you happen to disagree with. Looking forward to it! ~ L 🌸 (talk) 07:35, 6 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I made a pass through the prose. I added a few minor bits of extra context where, as a novice to the topic, I found myself wanting some more hand-holding (feel free to adjust these of course) but overall it it looking very good. I do have two questions I couldn't resolve myself:
Since there were two Ayalas, should Under the Ayala administration pluralize "administration"? Or are Eusebio and Eligio usually considered one "administration"? ~ L 🌸 (talk) 23:16, 6 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Images are optional for GA, but I wanted to at least consider some, so here's me "thinking aloud" a bit. This is the best image I could find of the Asunción trams (to illustrate the strike) but I'm not in love with it. I don't think there are any individuals for whom a photo might be due. Perhaps some of the newspapers they published have been digitized, and you could find the front page of one..? Seems like this is an article that may just have to remain unillustrated. ~ L 🌸 (talk) 23:16, 6 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately I wasn't able to find any photographs of the union in action, or digitisations of its newspaper. The best I could do is add an image of Ignacio Núñez Soler to the establishment section (although this would certainly result in sandwiching), or one of the Ayalas to the "Decline and dissolution" section. --Grnrchst (talk) 09:45, 8 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hm, good ideas worth considering, but I’m not sure that either is super beneficial to the article. The sandwiching isn’t worth it, and I don’t love visually emphasizing Ayala when he wasn’t a worker or union member. Thank you for brainstorming on it though! I’m now definitely satisfied that the article is appropriately (un)illustrated. ~ L 🌸 (talk) 18:24, 8 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
For 5 I could only access one of the two sources in the ref (Nickson 1989, pp. 70–71), but it verified the info well without copyvio/close paraphrase. ~ L 🌸 (talk) 01:46, 7 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
For 16, maybe a quibble, but the article says The Paraguayan trade union would remain fragmented... while the source refers to a fragmented trade union movement. I interpret the article phrasing as meaning that CORP was fragmented, but I think the source means the whole broader landscape: maybe change to "trade unions would remain..." ?
Earwig looks fine-- it's just picking up titles / org names. The overall source list looks like it's all high-quality RS, no red flags. ~ L 🌸 (talk) 01:46, 7 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
