Possible Plaguirism

[edit]

While I don't want to throw out accusations, this seems like it was copy pasted from somewhere (probably some sort of promotional/sales material). Honestly, I think this article should be deleted/merged but I've put enough effort into it for now, and I'll continue my travels. Lovetheblahaj (talk) 03:02, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

As some of the citations point out, MEAP seems to be disused in industry. Most of the citations are from companies which provide MEAP-related services, and the available text to support the article is more likely to be Puffery (or biased as part of an advertisement for those services).
I find it hard to propose where it should be merged; modern implementation of MEAP is effectively mobile app development + mobile application management + mobile device management packaged and sold to organizations by the cited references. JamesLear314 (talk) 06:59, 19 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Seconding JamesLear314 on this. This article has undergone a lot of work having had newcomer tasks sicced on it, enough so for me to feel comfortable removing the puffery template, but it does still suffer from being largely based on sources that are thinly veiled advertisements.
To an extent I think this is a little hard to avoid; there's a lot of B2B products that could reasonably be considered notable, but are only realistically going to be covered by companies that sell them/provide them as a service.
If more independent sources can't be found I'd support merging it. In my opinion mobile application management would be the right place for it, maybe with a subsection in the others linking to it. Viv Desjardin (talk) 13:23, 8 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
