	Minecraft was one of the Video games good articles, but it has been removed from the list. There are suggestions below for improving the article to meet the good article criteria. Once these issues have been addressed, the article can be renominated. Editors may also seek a reassessment of the decision if they believe there was a mistake.

A1: Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information, nor is it a how-to guide. Articles should strive to present a broad overview of their subjects. Video game articles in particular try to describe general mechanics and gameplay instead of specific details. This helps to keep the article accessible to readers who may not otherwise be familiar with Minecraft. Q2: Why doesn't this article show the prices? A2: Wikipedia is not a directory. Product prices should not be quoted in an article unless they can be sourced and there is a justified reason for their mention. In general, if mainstream media sources (not just product reviews) provide commentary on the price of an object instead of just passing mention, this is an indication that its price may have encyclopedic significance. Prices listed by individual vendors, on the other hand, can vary widely from place to place and over time. Wikipedia is not a price comparison service to be used to compare the prices of competing products, or the prices of a single product from different vendors.

• Ping @Joy: since this is pretty stale. FWITW, NetheriteNetherite also redirects to List of fictional elements, materials, isotopes and subatomic particles.

Problem is there's lots of fictional materials in Minecraft. Unless someone wants to start filling up that list with froglight, nether quarts, end stone, etc. then there's no point in randomly picking redstone and netherite as something special. Actually adding all these minecraft materials would just run into cruft issues. So in as much as redirects are needed, they should come here. But I think it's fair to say that people looking for detailed information about a particular block aren't turning to Wikipedia as their primary source. GMG^talk 14:03, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@GreenMeansGo well, the reason I noticed this is because the clickstreams for 'redstone' show a fair few readers each month go there and proceed to Minecraft (August about 142, July ~86, June ~106, May ~96, April ~108, March ~74). It is consistently the largest single contingent of readers there. So giving these readers a coherent destination would probably be helpful. --Joy (talk) 15:23, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
