Verdict
[edit]Dodik's first-instance verdict was confirmed today by the Council of Appeals of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which sentences him to one-year imprisonment (which can be paid off) and forbids him political activity for six years. Consequently, as far as the verdict in concerned, he is no longer the president of Republika Srpska. However, I would advise other editors to wait how it all plays out, and not to make changes regarding his presidential term. I'd bet that he will factually remain the president. President or not
[edit]Is he the presiden? King of Croatia1 (talk) 10:45, 6 August 2025 (UTC)
- He is. The Central Electoral Committee's decision is not legally binding yet. Governor Sheng (talk) 13:44, 6 August 2025 (UTC)

- Although the court's decision and the Central Election Committee's decision are both legaly binding, Dodik refuses to give in and still acts like he's the president. It is obvious that a large part of the public in Republika Srpska still supports him, including his and several other political parties from Republika Srpska. The presidency is in dispute
[edit]The state court's verdict ordered the Central Election Committee to remove Dodik from the presidency, which it did. However, the National Assembly of Republika Srpska rejected the court's decision and insists Dodik is still the president. This makes his term disputed. I suggest we note that in the article as well.
