The Chinese character 芾 has two pronunciations: Fú and Fèi. It is usually pronunced as Fú in this person's name. There are 640,000 hits for "Mi Fu" and just 16,600 hits for "Mi Fei" by Google search. A.) I can't really see the promotional part.

In the biology section at:

"Mi Fu showed an early interest in arts and letters and possessed strong memory skills."

The source for that part is the Britannica article: https://www.britannica.com/biography/Mi-Fu

But nowhere in the source it says that he "possessed strong memory skills" (or anything suggesting that.

also maybe the arts and letters part, although the source does mention an early aptitude in calligraphy so maybe that's not that bad. (not educated enough in calligraphy or arts and stuff to decide)

Anyway I suggest maybe removing the second part or replacing it with "but disliked lessons required to work as a official".
