Talk:List of Hello Kitty animated series

Shows starring the same characters doesn't always mean the shows are in the same continuity. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 18:03, 15 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Are there four distinct anime series?

[edit]

Looking at https://myanimelist.net/anime.php?cat=anime&q=hello+kitty&type=1&score=0&status=0&p=0&r=0&sm=0&sd=0&sy=0&em=0&ed=0&ey=0&c%5B%5D=a&c%5B%5D=b&c%5B%5D=c&c%5B%5D=f , I found these series:

Daisuki! Hello Kitty (1993-1994)

Kitty's Paradise (1994-1994)

Asobou! Hello Kitty (1994-1994)

Hello Kitty: Ringo no Mori (2006-2008)

The Kitty's Paradise one sticks out to me in particular, as I'm unsure if it's the "Hello Kitty's Paradise" OVA from 1999 under a different listing, or if it's a distinct production entirely.

Looks like MAL got the year of Kitty's Paradise wrong. This article is pretty clear on what's going on though: List of Hello Kitty animated series#Hello Kitty's Paradise (1999). The original Japanese Kitty's Paradise was a variety show which included animated segments, see also ja:キティズパラダイス. Some of these animated segments were later localized and released on home video in the US under the name Hello Kitty's Paradise. The Hello Kitty Ringo no Mori series (ja:ハローキティ りんごの森シリーズ) also originally aired as part of the Kitty's Paradise show, so I don't know if that counts as "distinct" either. Thanks, I’ve been trying to get an idea how much anime Hello Kitty am has had, and after realizing that, I counted 105 episodes, 3 films, 1 special, 141 OVAs, and 3 ONAs. I might be off though.Electricmastro (talk) 15:53, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
