Death
[edit]What were the circumstances of his death? Did he become ill, and suffered, or did something else happen to him? Was his death an accident? 216.99.219.238 (talk) 04:54, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
- He died of leukemia. I'll add this to the article. Nandt1 (talk) 01:40, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
Recasting lede
[edit]The previous lede's summary of KZ's political positions and significance did not seem to meet NPOV standards, or to capture the account provided in the main body of the text. Rather than heavily influencing UK policy towards Eastern Europe as the earlier draft suggested, KZ is surely much better seen as a dissident challenging the orthodoxy (albeit mostly to limited effect). I have made a good faith account to provide an NPOV version compatible with the rest of the article. Nandt1 (talk) 15:42, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
Incoherent statement about Ethiopia needs clarification
[edit]There is a sentence about KZ's efforts vis-a-vis Ethiopia that currently makes no sense. There is talk of him "convincing the British public to impose sanctions on Italy on 27 September 1935, should it attempt to conquer Ethiopia". The sequence of events here is totally unclear. I don't know the facts sufficiently well to correct the sentence, but someone needs to do so -- it makes no coherent sense. Nandt1 (talk) 03:48, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- After reviewing earlier versions of this article, I have myself reformulated the sentence to be less obviously anomalous. This said, an editor with access to the original source could no doubt improve the clarity of this discussion further. Nandt1 (talk) 21:21, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
Image
[edit]Is it possible to find an image of him, which would illustrate the point of Churchill's remark that he was "not as nice as he looked" ?Seadowns (talk) 15:21, 29 August 2018 (UTC)

Konni Zilliacus → Konni Zilliacus (British politician) – There's no clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC: this British politician vs. his father Konni Zilliacus (senior). It seems that some wikilinks pointing to this British politician actually refer to his father (e.g. List of Finnish writers and Sibelius (film) etc.), so creating a disambiguation page would help. 87.100.163.206 (talk) 15:52, 11 June 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. - Support. Konni Zilliacus Sr. is notable enough to have his own Britannica entry, which suggests that even in British context there is no clear primary topic. This becomes even more pronounced when the international (including Finnish) perspective is factored in. 84.251.164.143 (talk) 19:14, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
- I should point out that, despite the name, the Encyclopædia Britannica hasn't really been British since 1901! -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:21, 4 July 2025 (UTC)

- Oppose. Completely disagree. The British politician is the clear primary topic. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:09, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- Support, but we need a better DAB for the father than "senior".--Ortizesp (talk) 19:32, 3 July 2025 (UTC)
- Konni Zilliacus (revolutionary) or Konni Zilliacus (Finnish activist) (since his son could also be said to be an activist). -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:15, 4 July 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose I don't believe creating a WP:TWODABS with two closely-related people will help here; the relationship to the father can be explained sufficiently in the lead. * Pppery * it has begun... 15:54, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
