The 1,200 deaths (a figure often quoted as being the number of Israelis killed during the Hamas incursion) always fails to mention that many were actually killed by 'friendly fire' from the Israeli military as they tried to flee Hamas militants. 122.108.116.196 (talk) 03:58, 30 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I see no mention of Hamas friendly fire incidents in the numbers so this seems fair to leave as is. How many are dead because Hamas martyred them? 71.17.181.34 (talk) 16:17, 30 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This is an article about the Israeli–Palestinian conflict and unless you have text that connects this war to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict and a reliable source that confirms your text, I don't think that this should be included. But I won't close your edit request just now, in case an editor comes along who agrees with you and disagrees with me. Lova Falk (talk) 10:37, 26 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Charliehdb (talk) 13:50, 26 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Description of suggested change:

In the "Casualties and losses" section of the infobox, the separate Israeli deaths in the war 2006-2014 are omitted. Shouldn't there be deaths on both sides?

Description of suggested change: At the end of the first section when the article talks about genocide it should be noted that its Palestinians calling for the genocide of the jews, not the other way around. It would be best to remove talks of genocide all together in my opinion since there has been no attempt at any genocide.

Not done. This last sentence is not about anybody "calling for genocide" - it simply says that Israel's actions have been described as genocide, which is also supported by the sources. Lova Falk (talk) 15:58, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Why is there no mention of the hostages taken on October 7th?

[edit]

This extremely biased article references the Hamas terror attack which killed over 1,000 Israelis, but the area describing the most recent part of the conflict, initiated by this Hamas attack, makes no mention that hundreds of hostages were stolen from Israel, with many kept for years and many murdered. It seems very odd to not mention the fact that Hamas took so many hostages and continued to refuse their release for years during an alleged “genocide”. ~2025-35188-70 (talk) 05:39, 21 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Have a look at WP:EDITXY to see how to write edit requests. You don't need to include statements like 'This extremely biased article' because a) there really isn't any reason for you to assume that you can reliably measure neutrality in the way Wikipedia treats neutrality and b) it is not relevant for WP:EDITXY-type requests, which is all you are permitted to submit as a non-extendedconfirmed account. Secondly, it is better to read articles before submitting a request. Or at least do a word search for 'hostage' for example. That way you can avoid making incorrect statements like 'no mention that hundreds of hostages'. Sean.hoyland (talk) 07:34, 21 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
