Removal of Lainchan section
[edit]I added the section "Lainchan" using the FAQ of that website as the source, but it was swiftly removed for the reason of not having a source outside of itself. However, the "Futaba Channel" section also only uses Futaba Channel's "Frequently Asked Questions" page as the source and has not been removed. For this reason, I am asking for the "Lainchan" section to be restored. Kawaiidumbassery (talk) 02:12, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
- Edit: I was mistaken, the source for the "Futaba Channel" section is the homepage for Futaba Channel, not an FAQ. However, that is still using only the website itself as the source, which was the reason named for removing the "Lainchan" section. It does not make sense to me why the "Futaba Channel" section stays and the "Lainchan" section does not, even though it uses the same type of source. Kawaiidumbassery (talk) 02:18, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
- Futaba Channel has its own article, which is linked in the section. You can find the independent sourcing there. MrOllie (talk) 02:38, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the clarification! That makes sense. ^ - ^ Kawaiidumbassery (talk) 05:13, 28 June 2024 (UTC)

This is only for relevant imageboards, it isn't a list of your personal websites. Okay? 156.246.203.236 (talk) 13:11, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
- It's not my personal website, but thank you anyways! I think the previous posts in this thread explain my line of thought and I admitted that I made a mistake. Have a good day :) Kawaiidumbassery (talk) 01:42, 28 January 2025 (UTC)

soyjak.party section problem
[edit]Just because a shooter used a website does not mean or imply that the shooter was radicalized by that website to kill people.. this is a common scare tactic, I'm not even endorsing the content on soyjak.party. Also, shooters often cite things in their manifestos to troll and bait the media. This is no better than the "hacker known as 4chan" bit. Of course criticize the content on the website but randoms who just like to ragebait or post edgy content aren't the next SS. 2601:151:8201:2B0:A8F2:33C9:4BA:8F89 (talk) 10:46, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
- True. In fact there is proof with verifiable sources that the terror group 764 (organization) radicalized him and that the entire manifesto of his was ironic made to bait the media. 2A01:799:1966:4800:1D11:76A:77F6:724 (talk) 14:39, 24 April 2025 (UTC)
should there be a separate article for soyjak.party?
[edit]since russian wikipedia already has it Mustaze (talk) 23:06, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
- I suppose that would depend on whether there is a wealth of reliable sources, as well as whether they significantly cover the website's history beyond the general info already in this article. RhymeWrens (talk) 23:26, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
Should the AllChans image board directory be mentioned?
[edit]There is a popular image board directory at AllChans.org that many have moved to since 4chan was down to find alternatives. The site has been up for more than 10 years and has some history on the about page. It has a more extensive list of current imageboads. Gibhunter (talk) 19:20, 23 April 2025 (UTC)
