@Moritoriko: Thanks for taking a look at this draft and offering helpful feedback. To address two of the specific concerns you mentioned in your AfC comment:
Re: UNDUE and "where he often attended regional theatre"
I've removed this claim.
Re: tone and "Timms has been credited for co-founding the philanthropic movement..."
The New York Times says, "The British-born Timms, 46, who previously led the 92nd Street Y, helped create #GivingTuesday and co-wrote “New Power,” a book exploring bottom-up leadership, including movements like #MeToo and social networks like Facebook."
The Chronicle of Philanthropy says, "Henry Timms is on the phone. You may know him as the father of Giving Tuesday, the 24-hour global blitz that promotes charitable giving in the wake of Black Friday and Cyber Monday consumer excesses." The same source says, "In 2012, Timms came up with Giving Tuesday." There are many other sources verifying this claim and I should note that the GivingTuesday Wikipedia entry mentions Henry Timms in both the infobox and introduction. I believe the text I've included in this draft is accurate and neutral, but editors can adjust language appropriately.
Also, I am not sure why you would prefer to remove the entire Early life section, which simply mentions where the subject was born and raised, the occupations of his parents, and where he attended university. I think these sorts of claims are common in Wikipedia biographies, but I would welcome whatever changes you and other editors think are appropriate. My goal is to have an entry taken live since the subject is notable. Based on your feedback, I have added Template:Use British English to the draft as well as Template:British English to the top of this Talk page. I have also fixed the date formatting throughout the draft and made a few other text adjustments.
This diff shows net changes to the draft based on your feedback. Are you able to take another look at the draft and let me know if any concerns remain? Thanks again! Inkian Jason (talk) 14:08, 9 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't mean the information should be removed (that sort of information is common), just the section, because it is a big section without much filling. Here is my version. I combined some sentences that were related into paragraphs, I changed the sentences so they didn't all start with Timms... and clarified the bit about being a fellow which confused me the first time. If you have any further comments let me know. Moritoriko (talk) 18:49, 9 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Would you be able to add links to this newly placed biography? I know wiki-linking is not controversial but I avoid editing the main space because of my conflict of interest. I'm hoping someone else can connect these pages for me. Thanks for your consideration! Inkian Jason (talk) 17:08, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
