The origin of the name?
[edit]I'm translating a historical Dutch-language dictionary of the Frisian language (the closest cousin to English), and came across something rather interesting.
The word "goate" (gutter, ditch, or channel) has the diminutive "goatsje" which looks awfully familiar.
A related-sounding word is "gat" with the diminutive "gatsje" (little hole).
I wonder, what is the origin of the website's name? -- Sy / (talk) 13:38, 1 May 2025 (UTC)
