Requested move 23 October 2025

[edit]

General secretaryship of Xi Jinping → ? – From what I can tell, "General secretaryship of Xi Jinping" is completely a Wikipedia invention. I've not been able to find sources that call his tenure "general secretaryship" (which itself seems to be a pretty uncommon term). I'd also like to find some consensus on what the articles on tenures of Chinese leaderships (and perhaps other Communist leaders) should be called. Move to Xi Jinping as General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party - Unless there's some shorter form of the title, this in line with consensus/precedent emerging in a handful of moves last year such as Keir Starmer as Leader of the Opposition and Kamala Harris as Attorney General of California. estar8806 (talk) 02:51, 24 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No need to move. Refer to "General secretaryship of Mikhail Gorbachev" --219.76.38.51 (talk) 05:30, 24 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That also seems to be a Wikipedia invention. The Account 2 (talk) 07:53, 24 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
