I found this case interesting, and went to Wikipedia to find out if this is the story where almost all the defendants were from an African country, and I wanted to know which country that was. Surprisingly, not only does the article never mention which country they were from, but it doesn't even mention they're immigrants at all. According to the following article, https://minnesotareformer.com/2024/07/17/a-somali-american-investigator-heres-why-youre-hearing-so-much-about-fraud-in-my-community/ , "We must grapple with something that is uncomfortable and true: Nearly all of the defendants in the cases I’ve listed are from my community.
