Conservatism and One-China Policy
[edit]- I do not see the relation between conservative values as in political philosophical sense and One-China Policy in this article. Nothing in the original conservative doctrines or American-oriented neoconservative principles leads to the conclusion of One-China Policy. Better reference and elaboration is extremely needed. - I understand your point, so I propose that section Pro-Beijing camp be moved to United front in Taiwan#Pro-Beijing camp (Taiwan) or split to Pro-Beijing camp (Taiwan). These section is more related to the topic of United front in Taiwan#Pro-Beijing camp (Taiwan). Taiwan People's Party is mentioned in Pan-Blue Coalition, but it is not allowed to be mentioned in Conservatism in Taiwan, which is not reasonable, as central committee member of TPP attended Straits Forum again and claimed that Mainland China is not a foreign country[1][2]. - Agreed that a move for the section in question would make more sense than leaving it where it is. - Amigao (talk) 01:42, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
- Conservatism in Taiwan#Pro-Beijing camp is different from United front in Taiwan, like Conservatism in Hong Kong or Pro-Beijing camp (Hong Kong) is different from United front in Hong Kong. Therefore, section Pro-Beijing camp should not be moved to United front in Taiwan#Pro-Beijing camp (Taiwan). ProgramT (talk) 08:15, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- Conservatism in Taiwan#Pro-Beijing camp (Taiwan) should be maintained because there are actually right-wing to far-right conservative parties that belong to the pro-Beijing, and they are non-mainstream with pro-independence conservatism. Mainstream conservative KMT is neither pro-Beijing nor pro-independence because it supports ROC-led unification around "Three Principles of the People." ProgramT (talk) 08:07, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
