Circular line (New Taipei Metro) → Circular line (Taipei Metropolitan Area) – Although the operation of Phase 1 has been transfered to New Taipei Metro Corp. since 2023, the content of this article includes the future section of this metro line. The operator of this line in the future (when the construaction of Phase 2 is almost done) has not been concluded yet. I think that the readers who read this article might think that the following section would be operated by New Taipei Metro Corp. I think it sounds strange. Thus, not until the operator of the future section is announced should the article be named "Circular line (Taipei Metropolitan Area)". (See the move-log at Chinese Wikipedia.) Circular line (Taipei Metropolitan Area) → Circular line (New Taipei City) – or Circular line (Taipei metropolitan area) or Yellow line (New Taipei City) or back to Circular line (New Taipei Metro). The disambiguation term should use WP:LOWERCASE. The article about the Taipei–Keelung metropolitan area has a sentence-case title, and almost all article titles on Wikipedia that contain "metropolitan area" have that term in lowercase. The article says this is also called the Yellow line and has the symbol Y and "is a metro line in New Taipei City, operated by New Taipei Metro". — BarrelProof (talk) 18:51, 23 October 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. - Move to Circular line (New Taipei City) for now. From the prior RM above, such as it is, the concern was the title Circular line (New Taipei Metro) may not be stable in the long term as it depends on the operator. For the most part the DABifier in a title should not matter too much so long as it is a something natural a reader would expect to type into a search bar and not confusing. As time progresses there may be some room to revisit DABifiers used for this and similar systems if new consistencies suggest themselves, but the proposed "Circular line (New Taipei City)" is reasonable. 204.111.137.106 (talk) 18:46, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
- Although I Support move this page to "Circular line (Taipei metropolitan area)", I oppose move to "Circular line (New Taipei City)". Actually, this line has included the section in Taipei. If it is renamed to "Circular line (New Taipei City)", the readers will view it as weird (the whole route in New Taipei City!?). At the previous move request, I have mentioned this line for the second phase has not been concluded who will operate this line yet. Sinsyuan✍️TW→GA 03:16, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
- The article's first sentence says "The Circular or Yellow line (code Y) (Chinese: 環狀線) is a metro line in New Taipei City, operated by New Taipei Metro." Is that correct? — BarrelProof (talk) 03:55, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
- No, the first sentence has to point out the information of the whole line, not only New Taipei City. Sinsyuan✍️TW→GA 15:48, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
- Oh, then someone should correct what the article says, and we should move it to Circular line (Taipei metropolitan area) as you said. — BarrelProof (talk) 15:56, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
- I am ok with that if a sourced adjustment is made to the lead. Just based on English language search engine results I could live with Yellow line as well with the appropriate DABifier as discussed. 204.111.137.106 (talk) 19:25, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
- The metro line has to use the official name (although it has the nick name of Yellow line). Sinsyuan✍️TW→GA 07:20, 31 October 2025 (UTC)
- If you are opposed we can opt for one of the other options listed. I just wanted to make it clear I was fine with Barrel Proof's alternatives in case this continues with additional input that moves participants in one of those directions and I end up not have the time to get back to this discussion. 204.111.137.106 (talk) 17:20, 31 October 2025 (UTC)
