Talk:Cellairis Amphitheatre
Past performances
[edit]What makes any of these past performances notable besides the fact that they appeared? Is this list really necessary at all? --Mjrmtg (talk) 16:26, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
- I agree, that section probably needs to be removed. Also, no updates to the list in over 13 years? Hmm. Do any other venue pages have such a list? --Egpetersen (talk) 15:49, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

Cellairis Amphitheatre → Lakewood Amphitheatre – The current WP:OFFICIALNAME and longtime WP:COMMONNAME is Lakewood Ampitheatre. The article was first moved in 2008 from HiFi Buys Amphitheatre to Lakewood Amphitheatre, then moved to Aaron's Amphitheatre at Lakewood in 2009 after Aaron's acquired naming rights and retained the naming rights until early 2016, then moved to Aaron's Amphitheatre in 2015 with the stated rationale of "WP:COMMON", then moved back to Lakewood Amphitheatre in 2016 after naming rights were not extended and the venue spent a year and a half of simply being called Lakewood Amphitheatre, then to Cellairis Amphitheatre at Lakewood in 2017 after mobile repair shop Cellairis acquired naming rights, then to Cellairis Amphitheatre in 2018 with the stated rationale of "WP:COMMON". It has remained here ever since, despite its name having reverted back to Lakewood Amphitheatre in 2022 after the Cellairis name was dropped because naming rights were purchased for only 2018 through the 2021 season, so the sponsorship had ended. There's no good reason to continuously move the page between sponsor names when the common name stays Lakewood Ampitheatre. Οἶδα (talk) 23:37, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
- Support. I do, however, disagree with OP's assertion that "there's no good reason to continuously move the page between sponsor names when the common name stays Lakewood Ampitheatre." The article can and should be moved if the common name changes (as the result of a naming-rights sponsorship, or any other reason.) See WP:NAMECHANGES. 162 etc. (talk) 04:42, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree. If the common name changes. The burden is on the one proposing the move to prove that English-language reliable sources have adopted the new name in their material published after the name change. For this venue, I suspect you are likely correct that sources adopted the name changes HiFi Buys/Aaron's/Cellairis/etc in the majority of their reporting after the name changes (WP:NAMECHANGES). For that reason I admit you are correct, 162 etc., and I retract my previous claim. Οἶδα (talk) 05:29, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
