First Ladies series

Hi editors, similar to my last request, I propose adding a couple sentences on a C-SPAN series that has its own Wikipedia article, First Ladies: Influence & Image.

First Ladies: Influence & Image, a 35-part series detailing the lives of American First Ladies, premiered in February 2013.^[1] A book based on the series, First Ladies: Presidential Historians on the Lives of 45 Iconic American Women, written by then C-SPAN co-CEO Susan Swain, was published in 2015.^[2]

C-SPAN platforms

The user below has a request that an edit be made to C-SPAN. That user has an actual or apparent conflict of interest. The requested edits backlog is very high. Please be extremely patient. Please read the instructions for the parameters used by this template for accepting and declining them, and review the request below and make the edit if it is well sourced, neutral, and follows other Wikipedia guidelines and policies.

Hi editors, for my next request I propose updating the ways viewers can access C-SPAN. This request has a few parts:

• Add TuneIn, C-SPAN Now, C-SPAN Select, and C-SPAN Radio to the list of streaming services.
• Update availability note to better fit template parameters

Radio broadcasts

• Add TuneIn, with source
• Slightly tweak language for better flow and remove specification of Blackberry devices, which I don't believe is relevant any longer as Blackberry devices are no longer made

• Its programming is livestreamed at c-span.org on the C-SPAN website and TuneIn and is available via apps for iPhone, BlackBerry and Android devices.

Online availability

• Add the following at the end of this section:
  • C-SPAN programming is available to stream through the C-SPAN Now mobile application, which features breaking news and short videos, as well as through C-SPAN Select, a smart television application.^[1]

• Remove descriptor of online video ads as "YouTube-style", as that is an outdated means of describing the current video advertising model
  • As of December 2019, C-SPAN has begun advertising on its online videos, with YouTube-style advertisements that can be skipped after five seconds.
