Naming question regarding linking

For the word ectosymbionts may i link out to ectosymbiosis https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ectosymbiosis ? TrevorAingworth (talk) 10:38, 27 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I've done it. :) But yes, when there is an action noun but not an actor noun, or vice versa, it is appropriate to link with the other one. In this case, "ectosymbionts" was even mentioned and bolded in the lead of "ectosymbiosis", giving a strong indication that this usage is expected. - UtherSRG (talk) 11:55, 27 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
