Separate articles dedicated to divisions of a larger organization miss the notability rule, per WP:BRANCH. — Kochas 17:03, 8 August 2025 (UTC)
- asset management is an industry whose logics and economic role differs radically from banking (see Benjamin Braun's work on asset manager capitalism), hence the need for a separate article. Also, even though it is common in Europe for asset management firms to be part of universal banks (like BNP AM into BNP Paribas) or majority-owned by universal banks (like Amundi by Credit Agricole or DWS Group by Deutsche Bank), in the US asset management firms operates independantly from banks (like BlackRock, Vanguard, State Street). Finally, with the acquisition of AXA IM, BNP Paribas Asset Management will become the second largest asset manager in Europe (by assets under management) and will most probably reorganise. From an economic and financial point of view, a dedicated article for BNP Paribas Asset Management seems relevant 2KAB (talk) 08:04, 25 August 2025 (UTC)
- Since BNPPAM is fully owned by BNP Paribas, a merger would make sense. Boubloub (talk) 08:46, 10 September 2025 (UTC)
