COI notice for 23 April 2018 Edits

[edit]

Hello, I am an administrative assistant for Center for Healthy Sex, where Alexandra Katehakis serves as Clinical Director. She co-owns the business with Douglas Evans, who is the Executive Director of CHS and my boss. I was tasked as part of my duties as Admin Asst. to update Dr. Katehakis' Wikipedia page with new publications and her role as expert in many articles related to the Harvey Weinstein Sexual Abuse Allegations. I received a notice that this was in violation of the COI rules on Wikipedia, for which I apologize. I have since consulted with other Wikipedia editors about proper protocol for requesting edits on pages which I have a COI. I believe the updates I made are neutral, however, if these edits need to be removed please let em know, and I will submit a request for edits in the talk page. Thanks to all of Wikipedia's editors for their kindness and assistance in this matter. Charliechs (talk) 18:49, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please read wp:lede, it is a summery of important parts of the article, not a new paper style leader. Thus a list of her works (rather than "and she has published a number of books") has no place in the lede. 17:09, 22 March 2023 (UTC)

It seems their marketing manager is editing here. Slatersteven (talk) 17:07, 22 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

And trying to list all of her book titles in the opening sentence. For goodness's sake, the entire two paragraph intro to the Stephen King article lists not a single title; I guess he's not much of an author... --Nat Gertler (talk) 18:11, 22 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I added a notice of the COI guideline to User talk:Skfreund after seeing that they'd updated her job title and headshot. It seems likely that Katehakis is notable, but the article needs refs that aren't dead or self-published. Hello, newest admin assistant here. It seems this page is flagged again and I can't necessarily determine why. All sources are third party and the current page seems to be written neutrally. Any recommendations to improve it to avoid it being flagged would be appreciated. 2603:8001:6C00:9000:D0D0:3878:78CD:A900 (talk) 21:48, 18 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

For clarity, whose "admin assistant" are you? The phrase could be mistaken for you being some sort of assistant to Wikipedia administrators, which is of course not the case. -- Nat Gertler (talk) 04:38, 19 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies, my name is Bre. I'm the admin assistant at Center For Healthy Sex which was co-founded by Alexandra Katehakis. 2603:8001:6C00:9000:D0D0:3878:78CD:A900 (talk) 15:40, 19 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Is anyone able to assist with details of why this page keeps getting flagged and/or recommendations on what I can do to fix it? It seems the flagging reasons are not applicable and I've added as many neutral sources as I could. - Bre | Admin Assistant at Center For Healthy Sex (Founded by Alex Katehakis) 2603:8001:6C00:80EE:901E:4F93:8022:804C (talk) 17:56, 21 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The page almost entirely consists of primary sources, self-published sources and deadlinks. To improve the page, you should first familiarize yourself with Wikipedia rules, and claiming that " All sources are third party" as well as making an edit like this suggest some confusion. The article should probably be rewritten from the scratch by an experienced non-COI editor using genuine secondary sourcing (assuming it exists) without all the puffery and the CV-style it currently has. Personally I'm not even that convinced the person actually meets notability criteria. --Cavarrone 08:58, 23 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
