Talk:Abdullah Pasha al-Azm

He retired to Hama ("1810s") postmortem ("1809")?

[edit]

One date is clearly mistaken. Arminden (talk) 13:46, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There're 2 possible timelines according to historians.
  1. He retired and died in Hama in 1809
  2. He came to Hama in 1810 and the following years, he led Rakka and Adana

Who was the field commander at the Battle of Mount Tabor (1799)?

[edit]

See Battle of Mount Tabor (1799), April 16. Was Abdullah even back in power? This article here does not say when in 1799 he was reinstated, just "after 7 months", and April might be a bit early - or not. Did he go by himself, or did he dispatch someone?
