Subedi (Nepali: सुवेदी [subedi]) is one of the surnames of Brahmin Varna in Nepal.[citation needed] In ancient days, people who could recite Veda easily (सु-वेद = सुवेदी ) were called by the surname Subedi.They are also found in kingdom of Bhutan and Myanmar.[citation needed]
