Sless

The Sless (Arabic: سلاس) is an Arab tribe settled on the banks of the Ouergha River in the Taounate Province. It originated in Al-Andalus. As a result of the Reconquista, the tribe fled to Salé, Morocco, hence its name. It eventually relocated to Taounate.[1]

The Sless today is divided to multiple groups: Oulad Hammou, Jamal, El Khandaq, Souk Jemaa, Ouled Salih, Oumlil and Ourtzagh.[2]
