Skywalker Hughes (born January 1, 2009) is a Canadian-American actress. She is best known for playing Sheridan Pickett in the drama series Joe Pickett and will play Mary Ingalls in the reboot Little House on the Prairie.
Early life
[edit]Hughes was born in Toronto on January 1, 2009 to Christina Beth Hughes.[1] She has five siblings. She credits her father for her keeping her grounded and says he takes of everything including her home when she is away from home for long periods of time.[2]
Career
[edit]Hughes made her acting debut on the animated show Paw Patrol. She also made a one-off appearance on the drama series Accused early in her career.[3] An attendee of the LeBlanc School of Acting in Vancouver, Hughes got her first lead role playing Sheridan Pickett in the drama series Joe Pickett.[4][5] She starred alongside Hilary Swank in the Christian drama film Ordinary Angels.[6] On May 5, 2025, it was revealed she had been cast as Mary Ingalls in the reboot Little House on the Prairie.[7][8][9][10][11][12]
Personal life
[edit]Despite her Star Wars like first name Hughes confirmed it was real and joked that if she ever had kids she would make sure they all get the middle name Walker.[13]
