Shastri Park is a neighbourhood in North East Delhi, India. The area is named in honour of Lal Bahadur Shastri, India’s second Prime Minister and a notable freedom fighter. Shastri Park is known for being one of the early sites developed by the Delhi Metro, which established one of its first metro stations here. The Delhi IT Park and nearby residential complexes were developed as part of these urban initiatives. The locality also hosts educational institutions such as the Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Technology and Management, and healthcare facilities like the Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital, which provides basic medical services to residents of the district. Shastri Park continues to evolve as part of Delhi’s expanding urban infrastructure.[1]
