Raziat (Roza) Basirovna Chemeris (Russian: Роза Басировна Чемерис; née Glubokovskaya; born 7 June 1978) is a Russian politician who was elected to the State Duma on the federal list for the New People party in 2021.[1]

Political career

Chemeris previously stood for election under the United Russia banner.[2]

She is a candidate in the 2024 Khabarovsk Krai Legislative Duma election

Sanctions

On February 25, 2022, in the context of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, she was included in the European Union sanctions list.[3]

On March 11, 2022, she was added to the United Kingdom’s sanctions list.[4]

On September 30, 2022, she was included in the United States sanctions list.[5]

On February 24, 2023, she was sanctioned by Canada for being “involved in the ongoing violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity by Russia”.[6][7]

She is also subject to sanctions imposed by Switzerland, Australia, Japan, Ukraine, and New Zealand.[8][9]

Personal life

She is Avar by nationality. Her mother Elmira Glubokovskaya sat in the Duma from 2007 to 2016. Roza's father-in-law Mikhail Glubokovsky [ru] was also member of the Duma in 1993–1999.[2]
