Pustá Kamenice is a municipality and village in Svitavy District in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 300 inhabitants.
Pustá Kamenice lies approximately 28 kilometres (17 mi) west of Svitavy, 39 km (24 mi) south-east of Pardubice, and 125 km (78 mi) east of Prague.
History
[edit]The first written mention of the village, Kamenice, an old coal mining settlement, dates back to 1392. It was likely abandoned during the Hussite Wars, hence the name Pustá meaning desolate. In 1584 the village had a population of 15.
