PurVIEW

PurVIEW is an integrated image display and stereoscopic viewing plug-in software package for ESRI ArcGIS 9.x. It functions as a photogrammetry-based data capture workstation that extends the ArcGIS environment by enabling stereo viewing of geo-referenced aerial or satellite imagery.[1]

Using ArcMap, geodatabase contents can be viewed superimposed on 3D stereo imagery, enabling users to identify geographic features, map updates, or terrain changes with high positional accuracy.[2] Digitizing features within the stereo environment can yield results comparable to traditional photogrammetric mapping.[3]

Originally developed by International Systemap Corporation in collaboration with ESRI, PurVIEW has been applied in fields such as mapping, geomatics, geology, forestry, and mining.
