"La Llamada" (English: "The Phone Call") is a song recorded by American recording artist Selena for her first live album Live! (1993). It was composed by Selena y Los Dinos backup singer Pete Astudillo and Selena's brother and principal record producer A.B. Quintanilla III. The song was produced by Quintanilla III and Argentine music producer Bebu Silvetti.

"La Llamada" was released as the second single from Live!. It peaked at number 5 on the US Hot Latin Tracks on the week ending 23 October 1993. On the week ending 9 April 2011, "La Llamada" entered the Regional Mexican Digital Songs chart. The lyrical content of the song describes a girlfriend's feelings after witnessing her boyfriend kissing another girl, telling him to never call her again and ending the relationship. The central theme explored on "La Llamada" suggests women empowerment.

"La Llamada" is an uptempo Mexican cumbia song. The song received generally positive reviews from music critics. A music video was released and features Selena dancing in a crowd at a beach house in Malibu, California. There have been many cover versions of "La Llamada" ranging from Mexican to Dominican artists.

Alejandro Sanz (Spanish pronunciation: [aleˈxandɾo ˈsanθ]; born Alejandro Sánchez Pizarro; December 18, 1968) is a Spanish singer-songwriter and musician. For his work, Sanz has won a total of fifteen Latin Grammy Awards and three Grammy Awards. He has won the Latin Grammy for Album of the Year three times, more than any other artist. Throughout his career, he has released a total of eight studio albums and six DVDs. The singer is noted for his flamenco-influenced ballads, but he has also experimented with rock, salsa, and hip hop. Born in Madrid, Sanz began playing guitar at age seven, taking influence from his family's flamenco roots.

Sanz released his debut album at age sixteen, although he did not gain commercial success in Spain until his second release, Viviendo Deprisa. His next two records, Si Tú Me Miras (1993) and 3 (1995) also fared well commercially, but it was his 1997 breakthrough album Más that garnered international success. El Alma al Aire followed in 2000, selling more than a million copies in its first week.

Otro Día Más Sin Verte (English: Just Another Day), also called Sentir in Spain, is the Spanish-language debut album by Cuban singer Jon Secada. It was released on October 6, 1992 by EMI Latin to coincide with his English-language self-titled debut album, which was released in April 1992. The idea to release an all Spanish-language album was pitched by Secada's music mentor Emilio Estefan, after realizing that SBK Records have yet released such an album. Estefan presented Secada's proposal for a Spanish-language recording to the head of Capitol EMI Records Charles Koppelman and then president of EMI Latin Jose Behar. Koppelman accepted the proposal after Behar stated that he could see "market potential" for Secada. With the help of Emilio's wife, Gloria Estefan, Secada translated selected compositions from his English-language debut album for Otro Día Más Sin Verte.

The album spawned five singles; its titular track, "Angel", "Cree En Nuestro Amor", "Sentir", and "Tiempo Al Tiempo". The first four singles peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart, becoming the first Latin artist to do so.
