Persona is an online age verification service. In July 2025, social media service Reddit began requiring users in the UK to register with Persona in order to access certain features, in response to the Online Safety Act 2023.[1][2][3]
Content covered includes sexually explicit material, encouragement of suicide and eating disorders, and expressions of hatred based on race, religion, or sexual orientation.[4]
Since February 2025, Freelance platform Fiverr has required some sellers on the platform to verify with Persona in order to be in compliance with the EU digital services act.
LinkedIn requires users to verify with Persona in order to access some of its features.[5][6]
