Musperia is a genus of fossil bonytongue fish found in the Sangkarewang Formation, Sumatra, Indonesia. Reaching almost 60 cm in length, it lived in Eocene-aged freshwater enviroment. It have a deep body profile simillary to related taxa such as Phaerodus. Unfortunately, some of the original specimens were destroyed during World War II and now we are left with two new very small specimen (approx. 10 cm) that discovered later. One among these two specimens still retain its head albeit severely crushed and displaced.[1]
