Maršovice is a market town in Benešov District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 800 inhabitants.

Geography
[edit]Maršovice is located about 12 kilometres (7 mi) southwest of Benešov and 35 km (22 mi) south of Prague. It lies in a hilly landscape of the Benešov Uplands. The highest point is a nameless hill at 522 m (1,713 ft) above sea level.
History
[edit]The first written mention of Maršovice is from 1205. The village was promoted to a market town in 1568 by Emperor Maximilian II.[3]

[edit]There are no railways or major roads passing through the municipality.
Sights

The main landmark of Maršovice is the Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary. It was built in the late Baroque style in 1774–1775.[3][6]
