Early life
[edit]Potter attended high school at Santa Margarita Catholic located in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Coming out of high school, he was rated as a three-star recruit and the 78th overall quarterback in the class of 2023, where he committed to play college football for the Washington State Cougars.[1]
College career
[edit]In his first collegiate season in 2023, he did not play in any games, using the season to redshirt.[2] During the 2024 season, Potter completed both of his pass attempts for 26 yards versus Hawaii.[3] Heading into the 2025 season, he competed for the starting job with Zevi Eckhaus, Ajani Sheppard, and Julian Duggar for the Cougars starting job.[4][5] Ultimately, Potter earned the team's starting position.[6] During his first start he completed 24 of his 31 pass attempts for 209 yards and a touchdown, as he led his team on a game-winning drive versus Idaho.[7]
