Gandakha is a town in Usta Muhammad District in Balochistan, Pakistan.[1] It is located close to Sindh Border. Gandakha faces a shortage of water in Kharif (Summer) season, due to which Zamindar of area bear huge losses, The town is inhabited by different ethnic groups, i.e., Brahui, Jamali, Chawla, Qambarani, Lashari, Umrani, Rind, Magsi, Soomro etc.

As of the 2023 census, Gandakha Tehsil had a population of 81,190 living in 14,259 households.[3] All the population lives in rural areas. The overall literacy rate stands at 24.59% A significant gender gap is also evident, with male literacy at 33.82% and females literacy at just 15.27%.[4] These figures highlight persistent challenges in educational access, particularly for women and girls.
