Description Reconstruction of the city of Harran as it would have looked before its abandonment in the 13th century AD. Painted with the input of Harran excavator Mehmet Önal based on recent discoveries in excavations from 2012 to 2018.

Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) The file will illustrate Harran as it appeared before abandonment; this is the only available reconstruction of the city at all and was conducted with scholarly input so is important in order to give an accurate view of how Harran looked.
