Description	This is the cover art for the EP Lexicon Devil by the artist Germs. The cover art copyright is believed to belong to the label, Slash Records, or the graphic artist(s). This is a reproduction in low resolution of the back cover for the Germs' EP Lexicon Devil, which reproduces an anti-fascist political cartoon by Arthur Szyk from 1942,^[1] portraying Hermann Göring, the Grim Reaper, Benito Mussolini and Hirohito, who are humorously featured as alter egos of the band members: Darby Crash, Lorna Doom, (the) Drummer (Nicky Beat at the time) and Pat Smear, respectively. This artwork is in marked contrast to the image displayed on the record's front cover: a Nazi propaganda painting by Hubert Lanzinger from ca. 1935, portraying a glorified Adolf Hitler.^[2] Although ideologically opposed, the images on the front and back cover form a thematic unity conceptually linked to the lyrical content of the record, which reflects the ideological background of Crash.^[3]^[4]^[5]^[6]
