Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8)	To illustrate what a shattered backboard is.
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1)	No similar free images could be found. Backboards can't be shattered on demand, so it is essentially impossible to produce an equivalent free image. See talk for further explanation.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3)	Use of the file will be minimal because it will only be used on one article.
