The European Defence Industry Programme is a creation of the European Union. It is originally a 1.5 billion euro subsidy to the European Defense industry.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] The Europarl committee wanted to increase the budget to 21 billion euro.[8] It passed through European Council under qualified majority.[9] It is part of the Readiness 2030 strategy[10][11] and defines joint procurement for the defense industry.[12]
