This defunct company was part of the Metallo-Chimique Group, with the same parent as Chemetco. The three companies together shared management resources and processes and interchanged materials. Chemetco was notable for using laundered money to attempt to influence a U.S presidential primary and for global environmental violations. This adds to Elmet's significance.
