Vusal Sadyar oglu Abdullazade (born September 12, 1992) is an Azerbaijani karateka, 3 time World Champion, silver medalist at the European Championships, and an honored sports master of Azerbaijan. He currently serves as an assistant to the President of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation and the official representative of the World Fudokan Federation in Azerbaijan.
Early life and education
[edit]Vusal Abdullazade was born on September 12, 1992, in the village of Tirjan, Ismayilli District, Azerbaijan. He began practicing karate at a young age and quickly rose through national and international ranks.
In 2011, he entered the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports due to his sports achievements, graduating with honors in 2015. In 2024, he was admitted to the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Azerbaijan, majoring in Public and Municipal Administration.
Career
[edit]In 2015–2016, Abdullazade completed military service in the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, participating in frontline duties. He also took part in the April 2016 battles.
On August 25, 2016, he became the head coach and president of the Baku Karate-do Academy. As of May 2024, he serves as Assistant to the President of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation, also overseeing the Federation’s Media and Technical Services departments.
