Unite180 Church is a non-denominational evangelical church based in Pretoria, South Africa. Founded in 2013 by David and Chanelle Grobler, it has multiple campuses, home-based small-group ministry known as uGroups, and large worship gatherings. Independent reporting describes Unite180 as a church that, holds to core tenets of traditional Christian faith.[1]

uGroup membership is noted at 8,000 people across more than 1,000 homes in South Africa and 11 other countries, including Namibia, the Netherlands, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. [2]

History

Unite180 originated as a youth ministry before becoming an independent church in 2013.[3] It expanded by launching uGroups and establishing additional campuses in Pretoria, Johannesburg, Potchefstroom, and Stellenbosch.[4]

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the church emphasised livestreamed services and distributed participation models such as home-based uGroups.[5]

The main Pretoria campus, Unite City, opened in 2023. With a seating capacity of around 2,500.[6][7]

Unite180’s official Locations page lists domestic campuses in Pretoria (Unite City), Brooklyn (Pretoria), Potchefstroom, Nelspruit, Bloemfontein, Stellenbosch, Tygerberg (Cape Town), and George, with international meeting points in Windhoek (Namibia), Eindhoven (Netherlands), and London.[8]

Community involvement

In 2025, Unite180 partnered with Hoërskool Overkruin to build a synthetic AstroTurf hockey field for about R7 million.[9][10]

In 2024, Unite180, established a presence in Potchefstroom’s Bult district. [11][12]
